The table-tennis in Salonta reaches more than 50 years in the past. This sport was fond of by many people for o long time. The first matches were played at the late '40 and in the early '50 by young craftsmen. Pali Tolna is one of these players who won on those matches. He honored us by accepting our invitation to the "2001 Christmas Cup", where he provided the children some tips and encouraging words.
The club was reorganized many times. The last time was in 1998 when an enthusiastic team of 3 members, naming Csepregi Sándor, Tóth Imre and Kriszte János, started the table-tennis in our city. At first 3 tables could be rented, than bought at an acceptable price. This way they could manage to make regular training in the large hall of the Hungarian House.
